Francisco Lomuto‘s orchestra has an old-guard feeling, somewhere between the lightness of his friend Canaro, and the rawness of Edgardo Donato. I love dancing to Lomuto, and I find he is another good orchestra to use as a bridge between tandas with sharper beats and those with more lyrical passages.
This tanda, starring singer Jorge Omar, features two of the most covered tangos of all time, “Madreselva” and “Nostalgias.”
